Episode 380: Best of 2023, Top 40 pt 1

This is the 380th edition of the Epileptic Gibbon podcast music show and the playlist to accompany it. You can CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD but note that the shows are large files. The show is also available to stream via Mixcloud and the Progzilla Radio Network (the show appears on Progzilla in alternate weeks). With this show I begin my slightly delayed countdown of my favourite albums of 2023. I did try to get it down to a top 30, I assure you, but I couldn’t manage it, so instead I went for a top 40. For this show it’s part 1 (of 4) of my 40 favourite albums of 2023. You can expect a great mixture of music in this show, and a typically eclectic playlist, with two tracks each from the albums I’ve placed between 40 and 31 in the countdown (you’ll hear the top 30 countdown over the course of the next three shows). And I’ll also start things with music from a new name to the show Guinevere, and a tribute to Del Palmer who sadly died recently. Below you’ll find the track list, plus weblinks from where you can find more information about each artist.

For the next show, in a couple of weeks’ time, I should be back with part two of my countdown of my favourite albums of 2023, covering the albums I picked from numbers 30 to 21. I really hope you’ll join me for that.
