Episode 390: An Australian Special

This is the 390th edition of the Epileptic Gibbon podcast music show and the playlist to accompany it. You can CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD but note that the shows are large files. The show is also available to stream via Mixcloud and the Progzilla Radio Network (the show appears on Progzilla in alternate weeks). For this edition of the show we have an Australian special, covering all the usual styles and genres of music, but devoted entirely to music from bands and artists from the fine country of Australia (plus some bands that have Australians as members). There’s no feature album this time, but we have lots of great music for you from various albums and EPs, from 1970, via our semi-regular 80s feature, and right up to lots of 2024 music. Below you’ll find the track list, plus weblinks from where you can find more information about each artist.

Thanks to all the musicians who contributed, and of course to all of you listeners. Send us comments if you like what you hear (or even if you don’t… feedback is so important!). If you want to keep up to date with news about the show, EppyFest, or just chat with other listeners, don’t forget that there’s a Facebook group – just search for the Eppy Gibbon Podcast Show on Facebook and request to join, plus don’t forget that we’re now part of the Progzilla Radio Network. Next time, in a couple of weeks, I should be back with a half-term report on the musical year of 2024 so far, including lots of typically great and eclectic music from the first six months of new releases. I really hope you’ll join me then.

Nice playlist, Ian! I didn’t know you did retrospectives (thought you only promoted modern/current artists)! Cool!

I would’ve added some stuff from the likes of The Church, Plini, Karnivool, and, of course, King Lizard and the Gizzard Wizard.
