Episode 376: Doctor Who, London Jazz Festival and Chrimbo Limbo preview

This is the 376th edition of the Epileptic Gibbon podcast music show and the playlist to accompany it. You can CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD but note that the shows are large files. The show is also available to stream via Mixcloud and the Progzilla Radio Network (the show appears on Progzilla in alternate weeks). This latest show is a little all over the place, albeit in a good way, I think. There’s no feature album this time but as this November sees the 60th anniversary of TV show ‘Doctor Who’, it seems apt to have a feature theme instead, so you’ll hear four different versions of the ‘Doctor Who’ theme scattered throughout the playlist. In addition we have a preview of this year’s Chrimbo Limbo live music event, happening on 28th December, 2023, at Smokey Joe’s in Cheltenham, with tracks from all three of the acts performing, and we’ll also have an interview with Chantelle Smith and Richard Wileman, who will be headlining this year’s Chrimbo Limbo, so you’ll hear what you can expect from them on the 28th of December. Also, recently it’s been the EFG London Jazz festival, which had a great line-up, so we’ll look back at some of the wonderful acts who were performing this year. Other than that, you can expect the usual eclectic mixture of music, spanning a period of 60 years. Below you’ll find the track list, plus weblinks from where you can find more information about each artist.

Thanks to all the musicians who contributed, and particularly to Chantelle Smith and Richard Wileman, and of course to all of you listeners. Send us comments if you like what you hear (or even if you don’t… feedback is so important!). If you want to keep up to date with news about the show, EppyFest, or just chat with other listeners, don’t forget that there’s a Facebook group – just search for the Eppy Gibbon Podcast Show on Facebook and request to join, plus don’t forget that we’re now part of the Progzilla Radio Network. For the next show, in a couple of weeks’ time, I think I’ll be doing another of my occasional long track specials. I hope to see you back for that.
