This is the thirty-ninth edition of the Epileptic Gibbon podcast music show and the blog entry to accompany it. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN. This particular show is a Wintry, festive, seasonal, solstice, Christmas-type special, with well over an hour of the usual eclectic mixture of music on offer but with a festive or seasonal twist. The feature album this time around is Crowe Jam’, a collection of guitar instrumentals by Tennessee guitarist Charlie Crowe. In addition, you’ll hear electronica, psych folk, jazz, prog rock, quirky pop, post rock, experimental music and virtually everything else in between from around the world, including the US, Indonesia and the UK.     Top three EGPS artists for 2009, in no particular order:

    Ian Neal
    Earthy
    Loivaine

    I also really really loved the featured albums by Bill Bruford’s Earthworks (a real surprise) ,French for Cartridge, and Fritz Doddy. But since these were in the “feature album” category (and so not current), I felt it wouldn’t be fair to vote for them. Still, they were great…
