This is the twenty-second edition of the Epileptic Gibbon podcast music show and the blog entry to accompany it. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN. This particular show is the second of two ‘Best of 2008′ specials, with well over an hour of some of the best tracks from 2008. Send me comments if you like what you hear (or even if you don’t… feedback is so important!). See you for the next episode when we’ll be ‘back to normal’ plus there will be an interview with Karda Estra.

Hello Gibbon, the music is wonderful, but I got lost with the playlist…after song number 9, there is no correlation between the list and the music. ¿Is it possible to fix that?, my english is not that good to understand all the group names, sorry.
    Best regars!. Pablo

Hi Pablo and thanks for sending the message.
Tracks 1-12 correspond with the first 12 tracks on the playlist and then the last four tracks are two from Pia Silvi and two from Thieves’ Kitchen. Track 10 is Billy Evil by Howl, then 11 is Lost Boys by Jade Warrior and 12 is Sundae Club’s ‘London to Shanghai…’. Does that help? If there are any tracks you’re not sure about then let me know.
      Best wishes,

  2. Pia Silvi said,

Congratulations to all of you who are Thieves’ Kitchen, an extremely well deserved accolade for you. Your sounds are rich and diverse and take you back and then forwards again effortlessly. Yours is a wonderful sound beautifully made and produced.

To all the musicians who made into Ian’s shortlist, I feel so flattered to be amongst such talent!

    Pia Silvi

I finally have gotten a chance to enjoy the Eppy shows I’ve missed (this and Part 1 for starters).

Fine shows, Eppy; I’m particularly fond of the concise opinions of each band/album/single vis their place in your personal musical cosmos. Refreshing and pointed;much enjoyed!
