Episode 13: Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling

Happy anniversary to me! This is the thirteenth edition of the Epileptic Gibbon podcast music show and the blog entry to accompany it. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN. This particular show is a special anniversary edition to celebrate the fact that the show has now been going for a whole year, and features almost two hours of music including some of my favourites from the last year, some requests from listeners, and some special brand new tracks. There’s no feature album this month as I’ve tried to cram in as much music from as many of the best and most interesting artists who fit into the Eppy Gibbon podcast remit as possible. Inevitably there have been some omissions but I’ve tried to strike a balance between new and old, and between my choices and requests from listeners. Below you’ll find the track list, plus weblinks from where you can find more information about each artist.

Eppy, here are the ones that i enjoyed most from this podcast:

Moorlandt’s song, Revolution is probably my favorite from the whole show, so it’s neat that you dedicated that to me! Thanks!

It goes without saying (but i’ll say it anyway) that i love Rebsie’s Lyke Wake Dirge. Beautiful, as always.

And Subdivide by Peter Greenstone. He’s awesome.

Also, liked Questions by The Noun, especially the way it started and ended. And Alice by Ian Neal. Lily Green’s song, too, it sounded unique and not formulaic to me, which i really appreciate, and she has a powerful voice.

I know a lot of the ones i name are from MacJams, and artists with whom i am already familiar, so i might seem biased, but those are honestly the ones that i enjoyed most.

Loved “Alice” by Ian Neal. His album “All In The Golden Afternoon” is superb.

The whole show was very wonderful. Enjoyed the songs played there and I would like to thank you for the dedication of Peter Greenstone’s song to me.

Thanks for doing this show, really wonderful work and I can’t wait to hear what’s coming next!

    Take Care
