Episode 34: Brought to Book
This is the thirty-fourth edition of the Epileptic Gibbon podcast music show and the blog entry to accompany it. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN. It’s kind of back to normal this time around after the ‘month of interviews’, so the aim is to cram in as much music as possible; in fact there will be 20 tracks. Not surprisingly, there’s material this time from all over the world, including artists from the UK, Finland, Australia, France, Sweden and the US, adding up to nearly two hours of fascinating and varied music. This month the feature album is ‘Cases’, the 2006 debut album from UK band French For Cartridge, plus there’s the usual diverse selection of styles and genres, including prog rock, chamber pop, electronica, chill-out, pronk rock, folk rock, and general strangeness.
